Does this still require a shield for the screen? null

No, there’s no plastic screen shield or requirement for a screen protector

This product does not come with a screen protector. I added one on my own.

Yes. The case doesn’t cover the front screen and I would definitely recommend a screen protector

The raised lip gives screen protection but I still added a screen protective shield as added protection.

I did have to get a separate screen protector.

The edge lip sticks up 3-5mm above the screen level so I don’t feel a screen protector is really necessary. But I’m sure others will feel different.

Yes, you need to buy your shield separately. It is not included with this case.

There is not screen protection from this case other than a slight lip around the edges from the case itself that protects the screen when on a flat surface. A direct strike on the screen isn't protected. I prefer this case but recognize that it is not ultimate protection. It is a balance of functionality and protection.
