Yes, you will have to call an electrician if you can’t get the outlet to work. Usually it’s a ground fault plug…..are you sure you tried to reset the ground fault breaker first and then the breaker to the outlet. Sometimes it’s on the outlet or it’s somewhere on another outlet in the area.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Obviously, you will have to find out what caused your Microwave to "blow." Since you've disconnected the microwave there has to be an electrical short in the wiring going to the microwave and that is why the circuit breaker will not reset. Is it possible a wire has worn through or some varmint has gotten to it and chewed it? It could also be a bad breaker as they do go bad. Perhaps change out the breaker before tearing into walls looking for a damaged wire.
