The microwave is 15 13⁄16” deep. If your shelf is only 14.5” deep, the microwave will extend beyond the edge of the shelf. Even if the feet are placed on the surface, we do not recommend this due to safety concerns. According to the specifications and safety instructions, the shelf depth should be 21”. -M
