The microwave is compatible with the NN-TK621S trim kit and the cabinet opening required (W x H x D) is 25 1/2" x 15 5/16" x 21" (648mm x 389mm x 533mm). The microwave can be placed in an enclosed shelf if you use the trim kit. If you choose to not use the trim kit, allow 3 inches of space on both sides of the oven and 1 inch of space on top of the oven. Hope this helps! -C
