Enough space for this product? The space I have for this microwave only leaves 1/4 inch to the wall on either side. (it is an empty cabinet.) Height & depth areas leave plenty of space (at least 2 inches or more). Would you consider this enough space to have adequate ventilation for this Panasonic?

According to the manual: For proper operation, the oven must have sufficient air flow. Allow 3-inches (7.6 cm) of space on both sides of the oven and 1-inc (2.5cm) of space on top of the oven.

NO! The vent opening that ventilates the excess heat from the microwave while it's operating is on the left side of the unit -- 1/4" is definitely not enough space from the wall. 2" minimum is required.

The specified clearances for proper ventilation are 1" above top and 3" on both sides of oven. There is an outlet air vent on the left side (when facing front of oven).

I do not believe the black model is meant to be installed inside of a cabinet. take a look at the stainless model.

The microwave vents air out from the bottom of the unit. As long as there isn't anything obstructing the exhaust you should be fine with those dimensions.

I wouldn't put a microwave in a cabinet at all. That is a fire hazard, and even if it wasnt it would greatly reduce the life of the microwave because it needs to be able to keep cool. Over the counter microwaves are designed to be surrounded by cabinets because they vent from the bottom up to usually an exterior venting system,but not this design and never in a cabinet.

The exhaust air vent is on the left side of the microwave, I would leave at least 2 inches on the left side for enough air to get out, but maybe a sales rep can tell you if I am right.
