“Can this be mounted under our kitchen island with the trim kit? It would not be 36" from the floor, that is my concern based upon another answer I read to an inquiry.”

Hi Buck! We do not recommend mounting the microwave under your kitchen island. For proper ventilation and grounding, it is recommended to install the microwave at a height of 36" from the floor. - S
