Whats the range of the cordless to base null

My apartment is about 40. feet long, and I've never lost connection from the base. I can step out onto my balcony with no trouble. I have not tried the handsets outside the confines of my own apartment. Incidentally, I am very happy with this phone overall.

The range of the handset to base unit will vary but most customers do get excellent range from the KXTGD563.
