Hi! Overall, the sound quality of the two models will be the same. Good sound quality can be obtained only if the phone service and the connections that are made by the service provider, at your location, have no faults and also if the handsets are used within 33 ft. from the main base units of the phone systems. The KX-TGD832 model has additional blocking features such as Automated Call Block and Telemarketing Call Block, as opposed to the other one. - G
