QuestionDoes this phone have different ringtones for in coming calls? And also is there a way to set the number of rings before Answering machine comes on? What if I don't activate the Answering machine, will it just keep ringing?

- Answer There are approximately 15 ringtones. But the number of times that phone can ring, you are able to preset. I don't believe I ever activated the answering machine, it just automatically goes to voicemail.

Questionhow does the answering machine alert you that you have a message? Don't want any thing that is audible! The one that I have beeps and can't be muted and it drives me crazy. Would prefer a unit that just flashes.

- Answer It just shows you the number of messages you have in the display on the base charging unit. For exap[me, if you have 2 new messages, it shows a red 2. If you have 0 messages, it shows a red 0. No audible sounds.

- Answer No. This is a cordless phone for either VOIP or landline service. It can be paired to a cell phone, I believe, so you can use it as a handset, but it will not work exclusively with a mobile carrier.
