Hi Bill! To use the phone's pre-recorded greeting message, on a handset press the MENU button, then the # button, and enter 304, then press YES. You can listen to the greeting message with MENU # 303. -G

I followed your instructions and still could not get a pre-recorded message.  Is it possible the phone may be defective.  Thank You
