Hi Georgia! Yes, the talking caller ID can be turned off, and the caller announcement can also be disabled. While this particular model does not include a headset jack. We do have models that support headset connections. For a 4-handset system with a headset jack, we recommend looking at the KX-TG994SK or KX-TGF944. - S
