I currently use Basic Talk for my home phone for use through my internet service. The Panasonic phone I use now cuts out and it is hard to have a conversation as it is not VIOP capable.

Hello! It is not specifically designed for VoIP. Kindly take note that you might need a DSL/ADSL filter on your line if you're using VoIP services. -M
