• All the literature included with the phone indicates a maximum of 6 handsets including the base handset. I tried to find a model that allowed expansion to 8 but the only ones that allowed expansion above 6 handsets were a major price jump and had far fewer features. We solved that problem by having two additional phones that plug directly into a wall Jack or into the back of our cable modem. Our house was originally wired for a traditional phone system so we can power those jacks through our cable modem. We purchased simple phones for those jacks. The features on the Panasonic phone are great, especially the call block capacity which is very high.
