A:AnswerHello there! You can insert two AAA (R03) batteries into the main base unit of the phone system that will power the unit temporarily in the event of a power failure! We hope this helps! - F
A:AnswerThe answer provided by Panasonic did not address the question and in addition the quoted range of 2-10 feet is incorrect.
I would still like to know if this phone is a Bluetooth Class 1 device.
Bluetooth has 3 classes that specify the transmission power output. The most common class is 2 which has a range of 10 meters (33 feet), Class 1 transmits with a higher power output. Class 1 devices have a range of 100 meters (330 feet).
All of Panasonic's Bluetooth enabled phones explicitly state they are Class 1 devices except the KX-TG975 model which does not mention what class it is in the online specs or the manual. (As to what version (not class) of Bluetooth is implemented, all of Panasonic's Bluetooth phones are on version 4.2.)
A:AnswerThe range from the base to the handsets of Panasonic phones can vary depending on the environmental conditions in which they are used. Keep in mind that walls, interference, and other factors can affect the range and signal quality. Factors such as the construction materials of your home or office, the presence of other electronic devices, and interference from nearby wireless networks can all impact the effective range of a cordless phone. -M
A:AnswerIn addition to the standard manual call block function, this model offers two additional options for call blocking. One of these features is automated call block. With automated call block, the device screens incoming calls before ringing for permitted calls, or it terminates calls without ringing for calls identified as robocalls, telemarketing calls, or other unwanted calls (available for Caller ID subscribers). The unit plays a greeting message for automated call block and prompts the caller to enter an access code to determine if the call is automated. Additionally, you can utilize Telemarketing call block to further filter calls and prevent telemarketer calls from reaching you. With this feature, the unit prompts callers to announce their names, and after verifying the names, you can choose whether to answer the calls or not. -M
A:AnswerHello! Using a touch-tone phone, you can call your phone number from outside and access the unit to listen to messages or change the answering system settings. The unit’s voice guidance prompts you to press certain dial keys to perform different operations. In order to do this, dial your landline phone number from a touch-tone phone. After the greeting message starts, enter your remote access code. Follow the voice guidance prompts as necessary or control the unit using remote commands. When finished, hang up. The answering system functions are: repeat message, skip message, play new messages, play all messages, stop playback, turn answering system off, erase currently playing message, erase all messages and end remote operation. Hope this helps! -C
A:AnswerHello! This phone can be paired with Bluetooth headsets. In order for earbuds to work with the phone system, they need to support the HeadSet Profile specification (HSP) and have at least Bluetooth 2.1. We encourage you to check our Panasonic Telephone Bluetooth Headset Compatibility FAQ, to review the tested headsets for KX-TGF955S. -C
A:AnswerHello. The handsets have a noise reduction and an equalizer feature. When the handset noise reduction is activated it allows you to hear the voice of the person you are talking to more clearly, by reducing the surrounding noise coming from the other party’s telephone. While the handset equalizer feature, when active, clarifies the voice of the person you are talking to, producing a more natural-sounding voice that is easier to hear and understand. -G
A:AnswerHello! Yes, the feature is called Call Share. To prevent other users from joining your conversations with outside callers, turn call sharing mode off using MENU #194. -G
A:AnswerHello! In order for the Bluetooth to be connected and the LinktoCell feature to work properly, for best performance, we recommend placing the cellular phone between 0.6 m to 3 m (2 feet to 10 feet) away from the base unit. If the cellphone will be farther than 33 feet, the Bluetooth signal will no longer be received by the base unit. -G
