“I just now opened the box after purchasing it. There is no cord for connecting to a computer in order to download photos. The instruction manual does not mention what type of cord I need. The cord is not mentioned as an accessory either.”

• The USB cable that comes with the camera is only for charging the battery. My understanding is that one cannot transfer data through that kind of connection.

• Hello Chela! If you wish to connect your camera to a computer you would need a USB cable. The USB cable is a standard supplied accessory that comes with the camera. - S
