Downloading the Photo Fun Studio app is the only solution I found to be able to transfer photos to my desktop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also tried to download photos using MAC and it does not work either. I am going to try and return this camera.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use Windows and following the tech advice to connect to "This PC" to find "Lumix" did not work. "Lumix" does not appear. I followed all the other steps. I have been resorting to using the card reader my PC has, but today even that is failing. I took three photos and tried to use the card reader to download them, but the download was empty. I tried again --- same result. I played back the photos in the camera on the LCD and there was only one photo there. But my card reader finds no photos! This sucks.

To copy images to a PC, please connect the camera and PC with the USB connection cable, then press the UP or DOWN arrow to select [PC(Storage)] and press MENU/SET. If you use Windows, a drive "LUMIX" will be displayed in "This PC" or it will be displayed on the desktop if you use Mac. The next step is to drag the files and folders from the camera to the PC. When using Windows, you can also copy using the "PHOTOfunSTUDIO" software for LUMIX. Hope this helps! -C
