Using my ipad2 I managed about 800 feet without the sky controller. With the skycontroller I've only managed to get 1/2 mile of good signal without disconnecting. Much less than the advertised 1.2 miles. As a bebop 2 owner and parrot customer I must say I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. I've had nothing but problems from parrot from bad tech support, defective products, and terrible customer service. If your thinking about buying a bebop 2 you need to read this. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know much about the range but I being flying the drone with the control without any upgrades and the range its pretty good. I can still control the drone for a far distance perhaps a 100 meter away from where I stand to fly and it's pretty good for what I being testing it out plus I don't go crazy far when flying. The app warns me a couple of times that I'm having a weak signal but in a couple of seconds, the signal comes back I don't worry that much But I being taking of upgrading this range dilemma but I need to do more research... But I did had two scare that I flew further away and the I lost signal completely and I began to freak out since I couldn't see the drone with my eyes I was lost trying to find it from the far distance the camera was recording so I knew where it was but couldn't see it so app begin telling that the drone was automatic coming home since it lost signal and it did came back home without any problem. I was impressed with that mode... BUT THINK ABOUT UPGRADE THE RANGE PERHAPS WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU FLYING TO LONG DISTANCE RIGHT NOW I HAVENT BEING NEEDING LONG RANGE However, with the Flight Time I more disappointed since it doesn't let me fly much longer since the battery properly lasts around to 30 to 40 minutes I only have two battery and thoes battery becomes low during that time. The app also tells you how much power you have and once you get to 30% that's when you need to think and began bringing the drone home to be saved so you don't loose your drone in the middle of nowhere because of loss of power. There was one time that I didn't care and the battery when complete low and the app begin telling me battey low drone returning to home. yeah it did came home. so you gotta be careful with that issue think of getting mutiple battery for your drone which I most do soon.. ALSO YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE CONTROLER BATTERY LIFE AS WELL IF YOU GETTING THE PHANTOM 3 STANDARD..
