Hello, Upgrading Sony computers can be more trickier than other brands; because they don't guarantee that 3rd party RAM will work. I'm sure you've done this; but download CPU-Z and study the current RAM you have very closely. Study the timings, CAS latencies, ect- write all that down- and then try to find RAM with the same specifications. I've done some research for you and I believe this memory module will work (according to Crucial) you need module "CT3665140". It is a 8GB module that you can run in dual channel mode; giving you the 16gb of RAM upgrade you need. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would try and download the service manual for your laptop. It might give you an idea what ou can't use. I don't know what kind of memory you knew to use. When you run the memory test off the crucial website be sure to select your machine. Don't go with the results crucial determines on their own. I knew from the manual that my machine could handle 16GBs. If I let crucial test the system themselves they said it was upgradeable to on 8GB. I provided my info and it tested at 16GBs.
