• Worked fine in side by side ports on my Dell tower. These USB's are quite slim.

• yes absolutely as with any new product they may seem to not want to fit but usb is universal laptop or desktop both the same until you get to usb 3 and then its only different in contacts inside the opening is the same

• On my PC - yes. I have a Dell desktop and they do fit side by side, as well as other brands. The ports on my Dell are wide spaced. HTH
