Please try again later.I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure it DOES support USB 2.0 as USB standards are typically backward-compatible, meaning it will work with earlier versions. A USB 3.1 drive will work with a 2.0 port, just not at the fastest speeds as the drive is capable of, it will be limited by the USB 2.0 standard. I can say that I have not had any issues using it with any of my computers, it's simple "plug and play," and one computer, the one I'm actually using to write this answer, has the USB drive plugged in, and it's over three years old, so I may well be using a USB 2.0 port. I hope this helps, and I'll say it again, yes, this USB 3.1 drive should work with a USB 2.0 port. Good luck.
