Try reformatting it and see if that doesn't take care of it. If you can save files to the flash drive and SEE the files on the drive, then I wouldn't worry about the light. That said, if you're unhappy with it, I believe you can just return it or trade at BB for a new one. All these flash drives unless otherwise marked are going to be formatted for Windows. But its easy to reformat to whatever you need...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not noticed the LED light but mine was formatted as Fat32 when I got it. It is easily formatted to Exfat using Disk Management in Windows.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine does light up but it is dim and on the underside of the drive. You can format the drive in whatever format you would like I would actually reccomend you format the drive before use anyway.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In Windows 7 or 8 left click on start icon. Win 7 left click Computer icon, Win 8 left click This Computer icon. Right click on the USB drive and choose format. You have a choice of reformatting to exFat or NTFS. CAREFUL, THIS WILL DESTROY ALL DATA ON THE USB. Be sure to save any data you want to keep to a different device before formatting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have several of these brand of USB flash drives and they all have a LED "glow" when accessed under the smoke colored sleeve. If not lighting up, maybe try another USB port? All of mine have been formatted as FAT 32, this brand as well as several others.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My first one was formatted as exFAT32 and it had very faint red light when it read or write. my second one was formatted as FAT32 and no light ever came out. Both are dead after transfer the first file into them. Too bad. Try use the USB 2.0 ones. They are cheaper and get the job down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should have a red light when active (during copy). Try to format with either exFAT or NTFS. Check the file size and file type, if it is not show correct then return it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Occasionally, the activity light might either have failed or become desoldered during shipping. If the drive works, that's not something to worry about. As for reformatting the drive for ExFAT, use your OS's drive management utility or a third-party utility to change the format.
