• It will depend on the format of the photo file but generally for jpeg, tiff, gif, etc., you should be able to open the file in both platforms.

• I've swapped docs and audio files back and forth between my mac and my PC with this flash drive, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do it with pics too.

• Perhaps. The flash drive will need to be formatted for the PC. (The Mac OS will recognize a Windows formatted drive, but not the other way around.) I don't believe there would be a problem with Windows or Mac programs reading common graphic file formats. In order for both Mac and Windows programs to read documents saved on the flash drive, you will need to resolve the specific file requirements of the Windows and Mac versions of the program.

• Usually the drives come formatted as "fat" drives and that will be compatible with both pc and mac. If you format the drive as "ntfs" it will only be useable on a pc. If you format the drive as "journaled" it will only be available on a mac. Keep it as "fat" formatted (there are a few different versions of "fat")

• Yes you could - (AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT FORMAT IT IN A PC OR A MAC FORMAT - let it be. If you would like to format it format it to FAT32 so the interoperability is WIN and MAC and Unix compatible.
