I have a gateway DX4860-UB20P, and it worked with mine.

Please try again later.Did a quick google search and since your Gateway DX4860 has a PCI Express slot (blue port near the middle of the motherboard towards the back) you should be fine. Moreover this card doesn't require the use of external power and is solely powered off of your motherboard, again you should be fine.

But my advice would be to get a name brand power supply from a reputable manufacturer (corsair, EVGA, and seasonic just to name a few) with at minimum 500 watts. That way, you'll have more power to upgrade to an even more powerful GPU like a 960 ,or even a 970
