I think it would be better to get a differential of RAM because the IdeaPad a145 ram soldered to the motherboard at 2400, so the frequency of this chip is faster than what's already onboard. At Best your RAM rubs as the slowest piece installed, and at worst it won't run because it's not designed for it. I have heard that one wants another 4GB at 2400 to match what's onboard and that'll run the fastest. That logically sounds correct, though I can't say for sure if it's a rule
