Yes, I agree they are a bit overpriced. But the product is actually very well made and sturdy. $5 to $6 seems a more reasonable price but I have purchased two for the $9.99, and I'm not displeased at all. I also purchased two of the holders and they work very well also.

I agree, $9.99 is a little spendy and I didn't buy it at first because of that. Then my friend had one mounted in his car and I was able to try it. I was sold. The price didn't seem that much for the convenience of it. I bought one just the other day and it's totally worth it! Hope this helps.

because it is made of a high grade silicone. Sort of works like those collapsable silicone funnels you see in cooking stores. You get what you pay for, if you get the fake ones you'll get junk and you'll believe that they are all junk, even the real deal. Not the case with these, they're worth it because they'll last.

$10 is a small price to pay for safety! This helps you keep your eyes on the road when using your phone for things like music and most importantly GPS. Looking down at your phone for directions and then back up to find your turn or highway sign is just plan dangerous!

They are worth every penny! I have all round surfaces in my car in the ideal places but I went for it. Most every drop in and removal takes a little extra effort which means that piece of plastic and adhesive take an extra beating. After 1.5 years I finally broke it!!! I figured a week or less. The adhesive is not 3M double sided too thick
, checked it out when I finally broke it strong stuff butt carefully removed with TLC from rounded leather maybe fake leather and not a mark. I even put one in the bathroom in the am while getting ready with a blue tooth speaker. Beats knocking my phone on the floor grabbing a toothbrush! I even put one on a leather note pad holder on the other side of steering wheel, left handed. Take it out for refills, I am sold! Drop the mic

My guess is because it is both durable and the adhesive is secure. We put ours up on the car dash in a tight spot and can still reach the items around the mount since the socket (even when retracted) gives some clearance. We really like it!
