My Powerbeats are very “tinny”. Is there a way to adjust the bass quality of the sound? null

Not that I know of. Really was expecting some more bass when I purchased these.

I too was very disappointed with the lack of bass however after trying the different ear adapters I found that these are what makes all the difference in how deep or how tinny these sound. I have small ear canals and thought i needed to try the smallest adapter but actually the larger ones worked. Now the bass is as it should be. I would suggest for those having problems try buying a different set of adapters. It really does make all the difference.

Get the right fitting earbuds. Without the correct ones you won’t hear any bass.

These things sound terrible. I thought I might have gotten a bad pair. Reached out to Apple, they replaced them, but the new ones sound just as bad. I got these as a Christmas gift so I don't have a receipt. If I did, I would return them. Don't waste your money. Have the regular Powerbeats and they sound great, lots of bass, these things sound like an old AM radio!

Wait .. I thought so too.. I have super tiny ear openings ( that might as well not exist seriously at all lol ) I use the smallest ear buds that came with it , that didn’t even help . I did find however manipulating the way the ear piece wraps around my ears ( as in squeezing it tighter and smaller around my whole ear ) did definitely help incredibly . It’s almost impossible ( in my case) to put the buds closer to the inside of my ear because it only kept allowing me to hit the buttons accidentally to change volume and songs etc. .. you have to literally bend and shape the outside of it to make it “ sound “ closer to your ear drum. Hope that makes sense ; )

For Windows 10:

If your on a computer, make sure your are connected to "PowerBeats Pro Stereo" NOT "PowerBeats Pro Hands-Free AG Audio". You can also go to settings -> sound -> device properties. Here you can enable Spatial Sound (see img 1).

From there you can go to Additional Device Settings -> Enhancements. Here you can enable things such as Bass Boost (see img 2).

From there you can go to Settings(make sure Bass Boost is highlighted/clicked on). Here you can tweak the Bass Boost by messing around with the frequency and boost level (see img 3).

Going back to Settings, and clicking on Headphone Virtualization then clicking Settings will open up settings for the Virtualization (see img 5).

Going back to Settings, and clicking on Loudness Equalization then clicking Settings will open up settings for Equalization between loud/soft sounds (see img 4).

I messed around with my settings and they are sounding really good(not as good as if they were connected to my phone, but pretty close).

I just bought these and i had the same disappointment. My powerbeats3 were amazing (i broke them) i decided to upgrade. These powerBeats pro have NO BASS!! I switched the buds to another from the ones that came with it (because it was a suggestion)... still nothing

I ended up using one of my old powerbeats buds.. made the world of a difference.. the hole for the new powerbeats is too small my old powerbeats have a significantly larger hole and bro!! Huge improvement.. a simple fix is purchasing earbuds with a larger ear hole. 

Picture included. Pink buds arw the old ones.. yellow are the new. The hole on the side that goes in your ear is larger in the pink.. makes a difference.

Better (tighter) fit buds. If they seems tinny push them in a bit to see if they sound better. If they do, go down a size and try again.

Every time I would connect my beats to my ASUS ROG series laptop they would sound great for about half a second and then instantly go to and stay sounding very "tinny." I could occasionally get it to reset and connect correctly by disconnecting and reconnecting, but today I think I finally figured out the real issue. I believe my laptop was double connecting to the headphones. I had to go to the volume mixer in the bottom right corner and when I opened it there were 2 pairs of the same headphones connected but only one was receiving sound, the second did not show that it was active. So I went into the headphone properties and in the general tab at the bottom I had to disable the device. Once I disabled the headphones when they sounded "tinny" the headphones instantly switched to sounding normal. By the way I am running Windows 8, I hope this helps with anyone else having this issue!

I suddenly noticed a lack of bass and was worried that they were broken. Turns out I had a Discord voice channel open that I forgot about. Closed out of it and the bass came back. Not an absolute solution, but worth troubleshooting

I just got them for Christmas and found the same issue. The only thing that seemed to help was turning off the noise cancelling function by double tapping the power button while it is on. The Beats used to have such a strong bass support and now it’s...kinda weak. For over $400, I expect superior bass quality.

Right fitting ear tips is crucial. Also, rotate the whole earpiece toward the back of your head so more of the ear clip is under your ear. Huge difference! Love these!

Read the review that suggested using the larger buds included under the case despite knowing that I have small ear canals (and after trying the smaller ones because I’m a skeptic.) Totally solved the problem. Great sound. Fiddle with the extra buds before letting these go back. Solved my issue fast and easily. May solve yours too.

I loved the wired Sony earphones I had been using for years (good sound and rich bass) and was resistant to phones without a headphone jack. I got the iPhone SE 2020, so I looked for Bluetooth earbuds. I had a $50 Best Buy gift card, and the Powerbeats 3 were on clearance for $90, so I got lucky and only paid about $45 for them. I tried them out, and with the tips that were on the earbuds in the box, the bass sounded pretty good, but they seemed too big for my ears. So I tried the tips shaped like a cone since they were smaller, and I had the same problem: very tinny, very little bass. I then tried all the interchangeable tips, and as it turns out, the original ones were the best for bass: not too much, and definitely not tinny. So the other answers about finding the right size tips were spot-on. Hopefully this will help someone else with the same problem!

There no way to upgrade the bass on the headphones. You’ll need to adjust the settings on your phone to what sounds you would want to hear in terms of bass
