“I would be putting this in my office. I am wondering when folded up if it would be a safety hazard if the kids came in there. Trying to see if its heavy and might fall or if there's a way to secure it.”

Momfit Safely placed in the storage position, this treadmill should not offer a hazard to kids. It is not meant for children, however, so make sure your kids know it is off limits. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello. You should be good. It locks and you have to push the hydraulic with your foot and slightly push the treadmill up before it comes down. Hope that helps.
