QuestionJust got this and there is a mechanical whirring type noise when on. It was too loud for us to keep on at night. Is there something wrong with mine? Should it be quiet?

- Answer The humidifier should not make much if any noise. Please be sure the unit is placed on a solid flat surface with nothing absorbent underneath like a towel, carpeting, etc.

- Answer This unit will allow the use of essential oils in the designated aromatherapy oil tray. You cannot put essential oils or additives in the water tank.
