yes. this unit works with three power sources: AC 110/220, Alkaline batteries and the built-in rechargeable battery. if 220VAC is used, PLS MAKE SURE THE VOLTAGE SWITCH INSDIE THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT IS SET ON 220 BEFORE PLUGING.
