I believe they supported the 2016 version for 3 years, so it won't need to be upgraded until 2019. I'm not sure how you transfer the software to another computer once installed on one. It would be worth a chat with Quicken to see if that is possible. You could put off the subscription model for another year...

Please try again later.Actually, it shouldn’t matter if you upgrade before or after you transfer—you'd either install 2018 on your old computer, convert your file from 2016, then install 2018 on the new computer, and transfer the converted file to the new computer ... or install 2018 on the new computer, put your old file on the new computer, and open and convert the 2016 file to 2018.
