Yes, it is a mechanical keyboard that has a unique combination of tactile key switches combined with a membrane below to soften the keystrokes when your fingers bottom out at the end of each stroke. The clicky key switches are fairly quiet compared to most other tactile, clicky key switches like the Cherry MX greens or blues. You will feel the tactile feedback and then notice your keystrokes landing softly. I quite enjoyed typing on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it is mechanical. There is a lot of clicking when you type. That is my only complaint about the keyboard is that there is a lot of clicking. So if you are trying to game and be quite at the same time. It isn't going to happen. But other than that, it is a great keyboard. I like all the light effects that you can do with it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its hybrid it uses a membrane like cheaper keyboard but has the feedback of a mechanical keyboard. I like it alot I have both styles and while a true mechanical has slightly better feel for this price this keyboard is great.
