• It’s powered by what you plug it in to. No external power needed. No On/Off switch. No power switch. No power indicator.

• It gets it’s power from the camera through the 3.5mm mic jack.

• The microphone plugs directly into your camera. So that is where the power comes from. I use it with my Sony Alpha DSLR camera
