Are you trying to use it for, let’s say, someone who’s a motivational speaker or something to that effect? If so I want to believe you can but I know for sure if you just wanted to attach it to your clothing and use just the transmitter and mics you can do it. You don’t have to have a device attached to it to get live sound , you can just use the transmitter and two mics to record . Adding this to an device is just an extra plus . But I’d suggest you go on YouTube and watch a video or 2 to see exactly what answer you need . I bought these because I own a cleaning business and I’m about to start a YouTube channel recording our work . I hope this helped you out .
