• The Rode external mic have better gains than the camera one. Better sounds.

• Hi, thanks for asking- Well, in my case I do golf videos therefore I am in open spaces and noise are coming from every directions these microphones protect outside noise and keep your voice loud and clear. I recommend you get them and your quality video along with sound will make a difference.
