How long does it last? null

With a CIPA rating of a whopping 1550 shots per battery charge, you should be able to go for days without recharging the battery.

I bought one of the exact same kind and brand when I bought my Nikon D5500 in July of 2016. It still keeps its full charge for, as best I can tell, the same length it did when first bought. As to how long it lasts on one charge, I don’t know exactly. I always take two batteries with me. If I’m starting on one with a full charge, I don’t know that I’ve ever had to switch batteries. But I only shoot casually. Like while birdwatching or hiking. If you were to use it consistently, like doing a photo shoot of products or models, taking many shots over a long period of time, I would guess a few hours?
