• I am able to watch local news, weather and TV in general because I subscribe to Hulu Live.

• As some of the other answers stated, Roku does that only if you subscribe to an internet streaming app or service that supplies local channels. Roku is not a broadcast tuner and does not work with an antenna.

• Everything is app based. So if your local TV stations have an app on Roku, then yes you can. Or you can connect to a TV provider such as Xfinity and ATT in which case you would have access to whatever channels you have subscribed to.
