I pay for Netflix($10), amazon prime is on there you may if already pay for that...tv is included. Now of course, I buy Disney plus($7)
It’s way cheaper than our cable bill was!

Yes, there are several free channels but are mostly older movies as well as TV series. Try ROKU.com to see if channels and listings are provided.

The situation is identical on Roku and Apple TV...there are a number of free services available that are well worth checking out, as well as pay services, most of which do NOT require contracts. 

Both have mostly the same services available, though HBO Max isn’t yet available on Roku.
