“Does this unit still have to be plugged into wall outlet or does it receive power from TV itself?”

• Either will work. We have ours plugged into the TV for power. Works great.

• Hello Vbaron75! Depends on the TV. Most modern TVs have a USB port that would be used to power the device. Keep in mind, some older TV's may not provide enough power through that USB port. In those cases, you would utilize the included USB wall power adaptor.
