Yes. Considering that the device will in almost all circumstances be plugged in to an HDMI port on the back of the TV, it stands to reason that you won't require line of sight... at least that's how it works in my home.

If that is an issue for you, ROKU can provide a short, really short, like 3 inches or so, HDMI extension cable that may help you arrange what is visible and what is not visible.
