It looks like it protects the back but not the front. What happens if you drop it on its face? null

All the cases even Otterboxes have the sides more flush with the phone so you can have access to the edges. There is a lip on the top and bottom to protect front but I understand your concern bc I'm concerned myself... But all the cases have the side edges more exposed. Great case and I tried all of them at best buy

You need have additional protection for the front. I like it this way, because the added protection is clear and I can see who is calling or texting without even picking it up off my desk.

Do you mean there is no lip for the front? Most cases don't protect the screen, that's what screen protectors are for. Tempered Glass.
