“Can I record video while using this mic for audio? As in, if this mic is hooked up to my phone or computer, and I record a video, will the audio for the video be picked up from the mic on the video automatically?”

I am not doing that. The manual says this device can be used for Utube and other vidie voice. You have to set your mic to be the default in Windows 10
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.On a computer, if the mic is the only input device connected for sound, it should use it by default. However, if there is more than one input device (such as on a laptop with a built-in mic), then you may have to tell it which mic to use. On Windows 10, go to Settings, Sound, and look under Input. You can also choose Device Properties to control the volume or "gain" of the mic. On a phone, I have no idea.
