It's a very good dynamic mic. If you're looking for one mic to do both at the same time, then because of how close you'll need to put this to the drum and your mouth, I don't think you'd like this. But ANY good dynamic microphone would work the same way. Where this mic really shines is that it can plug into a mixer AND your computer (at the same time if you need that too!) So if you are looking for a mic to record vocals and drums separately AND you need the ability to go USB, I have been very happy with how my mic has worked for voice. The drums, I'm just speculating on.
