Yes. It has a fan in the standard location for filtered recirculation but can be unfastened and turned for a standard top-center exhaust to an outside vent. I bought this for a bargain price as an open box and my tenant installed it to replace an old one that the door had fallen off of. In this case, it is vented to the outside through a brick wall.
