“When you use the convection setting how big of a pan will it hold? I have a friend with a convection microwave and when she went to use it for the first time realized you have to use the turntable even on the convection mode which really limits the size of baking pan you can use.”

All you have to do is remove the turn table and turn off the rotation feature.You can place any panin the unit and it will cook well.

Samsung recommends leaving the turntable on for best results, but for large dishes it can be turned off by pressing the Turntable On/Off button on the control panel. There's no maximum size specified, but I can tell you the turntable diameter is 13-9/16" and the interior of the MC17J8000CS measures 20-1/8" wide by 10-5/16" high by 14" deep, and there should be room for air to circulate for best results. - Ms. Samsung
