“If you have the timer on the microwave running can you quickly heat something up, like a cup of coffee? My current microwave will not work unless I shut timer off, but my previous one I could hit time cook and heat something without affecting timer.”

Hi tinytot, We appreciate your question about simultaneously using the timer and the cooking function on this Samsung microwave model. When the timer is running or in use, the cooking function is disabled. For the cooking function to operate, the timer has to be stopped. Leo
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately, once you start a timer, you cannot start the microwave. I just tested it, and the only thing you can do is add 10 or 30 seconds, or subtract 10 seconds to the timer.
