“Does this microwave work with 12 inch deep cabinets? Also is with the product installed is it really 17.1 inches?”

Yes . . my cabinets are 12". The microwave will jut out further since it is 15" deep, And, yes, it is 17.1 " . . . the sides of the unit are about 16-1/2" height, but the bottom of it, in the middle . . . where the light is . . . hangs lower so that that takes it to 17.1"
