• They suggest 30" from bottom of cabinet. I have 12" from top of our gas range to bottom of miceowave. This microwave has a heat sensor that turns on fan vent automatically when heat from range top would get to hot. It turns off when it has cooled. I think they recommend 14" from bottom of microwave to top of range, but never had a problem.
