“I just bought this unit today and got it installed fairly quickly with no issues. I plugged it in and nothing lights up. I verified the wall outlet is fine. Is there a switch somewhere on this? I'm thinking it is defective.”

You may have hit the ECO button that turns off the display. Either touch it again or open the door and it should light up.
