It could. Your car really wouldn't be able to give it enough power to really be used efficiently. Also, your phone/ watch wouldn't really stay on while driving. You need at least 15W for this to work. Most cars only output 2.5A of power at 5V

The cord that comes with this item has a USB-C connection on both ends.
