I see how to adjust the subwoofer with the remote. I can raise and lower it but it returns to zero. Do I have to lock it in some how? null

Just use the gear looking button to set the treble and bass and you can turn it off and on with the settings as you set them.If the woofer button is held down the level will reset to zero.
